Dynamic on the job and in my free time

As Head of Sales, I have a dynamic role and I travel frequently to meet customers. So in my free time, I enjoy being by my family's side even more. But that definitely doesn't mean we spend our time sitting quietly at home! As a sports-loving family, we enjoy playing tennis and are also out and about on our bikes or skis. We love the mountains, but we also enjoy being by the sea. With my wife and daughter we like to plan our vacations and weekends all through and we always experience something new. I'm very active by nature and cannot sit still for hours on end. That's why my job is a perfect match for my personality.

From fiduciary to medical technology to IT

I started my career in a fiduciary office. And although I quite liked the structure that accounting entailed, I quickly realized that this was not the right job for me. Over the next few years, I learned a lot about sales, planning and dealing with customers directly "on the job", first in the internal sales department of an IT company and than especially in the field sales department in the medtech industry. However, after my further education at the Higher Business School I decided to go back to IT and so I entered Account Management and went through all levels, from Junior Account Manager to Team Leader to Strategic Account Manager.

At Amanox, I like the portfolio, which is future-oriented by focusing on the Cloud. Amanox operates in an exciting environment and has its finger on the pulse. Due to the size of the company, we can act quickly and recognize emerging trends at an early stage. Our portfolio is highly focused, which gives us the ability to provide our customers with the exact solution they need to drive their business forward. Amanox provides end-to-end support, and the exciting thing about my job is that I get to be involved in almost every step of the process, from sales to project management to customer support. Not only do I sell, but I alsoget to work on tasks that we solve together as a team.

Passion for cooking

I have a lot of customer contact, which includes the occasional meal out at a restaurant. And even though some colleagues joke that I'm always eating, I think that's a great job too! Because not only do I love to eat, but I also cook a lot myself and am happy when I can find inspiration and new ideas. Cooking is my favorite hobby and I read everything I can get my hands on about it, whether it's a cookbook or a book about wine. At home, I love to entertain and enjoy all the socializing that comes with good food and drink.

Being authentic

Because this genuine interest in people is important, both personally and professionally. In sales, the focus is first and foremost on performing and being reliable. Yet at least as important is approaching people with enthusiasm and goodwill - that's what really sets you apart, makes you likeable and credible, and ultimately successful.
